Dr. Karl S. Klinar, DMD Family Dentistry
Dr. Steve Klinar has been practicing dentistry since 1987. As a graduate of Irmo High School and the Virginia Military Institute , he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He completed his education at the Medical University of South Carolina , graduating with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
He began his career in Aiken, SC at Aiken Family Dentistry until he joined the dental practice of Dr. George Widner in 1993, until his retirement. In 2005, a new partnership was created by Dr. Steve Klinar and Dr. Gretchen Widner. As sole owner in 2015, Dr. Klinar continues the legacy of great patient care and relationships that were started over forty-five years ago.
Amy Easler has been in the dental profession since 1978 and a registered dental hygienist for over 20 years. She joined our practice in 2003. Formerly, Amy was also on staff at Midlands Technical College as a clinical instructor in the dental hygiene program.

Jennifer Lindler – Dental Assistant
Jennifer Lindler is a graduate from the dental assisting program at Midlands Technical College. She has been a chairside assistant in our office since 2002. Jennifer is also able to help you with any of your front desk needs like scheduling appointments and filing insurance claims.

Jackie Heron – Office Manager
Jackie Heron is here to greet you. She has been with our practice since 1988, and is invaluable in her knowledge of our patients and the dental health industry. Over the years, she has gained a wealth of knowledge regarding patient care, health regulations, and insurance claims and information. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of South Carolina.

Kristina Klinar – Bookkeeper
As the newest member of our team, Kristina Klinar joined us in 2007 as bookkeeper. Kristina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from James Madison University. She brings her experience in design, sales & business to our accounting department.
In 2019, Kristina joined the Board of Directors of Tinius Olsen Testing Machine Company, and continues her volunteer work as a Girl Scout Leader and band parent, running the concession stand for the Dutch Fork Silver Spirit Band.
A nod to the past…
We honor George H. Widner, DDS, founder of this dental practice in 1969, who built a great legacy. Retiring in 2005, he enjoyed his time with family & friends at his home on Lake Murray until his death in 2015.
We also remember Gretchen W. Widner, DMD (1960-2014) who touched the lives of all her patients and is greatly missed.
